A great and simple way to reduce your stress level is to take a break, even if it’s just a minute or two. By stepping away from a stressful situation, you are allowing yourself to rejuvenate and recover for a few short minutes. By letting your body relax and your stress hormones to reduce, you are giving yourself a fresh start at the project at hand. With a new perspective after your small break, you might find that the task at hand isn’t as stressful as it first seemed.

One way to manage your stress is to take an amount of money that you can do without and spend it on something completely unnecessary that you might have always wanted. This will help to clear your mind and give you a sense of power and self accomplishment.

When it comes to dealing with stress, one great way to manage it is by learning an instrument. Although it seems unimaginable, cutting the stress out of your life is a goal you can achieve. By determining exactly what causes you the most stress, you will identify your “buttons,” and then you can avoid pushing them!

A good tip that can help you keep your stress levels down is to start forgiving people that have wronged you in the past. Holding onto grudges will keep you feeling stressed out. Get rid of all that negativity and start letting the past go. It can help you out a lot.

A pretty simple and easy way to relieve stress is to meditate. Meditation allows the body to relax all muscles and rest the mind. While in this relaxed state of body and mind, you are able to release any pent up stress and return to a calm nature.

Deep breathing is one of the easiest ways to help relieve stress and tension, and it’s pretty cheap too! You can do it practically anywhere and deep breathing exercises work fast to oxygenate the blood which gives your brain a boost of energy, so you not only lose stress but you gain momentum!

One great stress reliever is a massage. If you have a partner or close friend, see if they’re interested in trading massages. If not, pay to have one done professionally. Having the tension worked out of your muscles can have a profound effect on your state of mind and relieve a lot of stress.

Listening to your favorite music is an excellent technique of reducing your stress. It is a well known phenomenon that music therapy will reduce stress as long as the type of music is soothing to you. To relieve your stress, it’s important that you choose music that you actually believe is calming and soothing. Each person’s taste is different. Music causes people to breath deeply which allows our brains to produce serotonin.

To avoid the stress that comes with forgetting something, write everything down. Get a notebook application for your phone, or carry a small pad of paper around with you. Make grocery lists, to do lists, or even notes of things you want to mention to people the next time you talk. Keeping track of what you want to accomplish will ensure that you’re able to achieve it.

Think about the relative benefits verses problems associated with being a perfectionist. When we hold ourselves to too high of standards stress can be the result.
