Making duplicate keys and keeping them in safe places will give you one less thing to stress about! Being locked out of your home or car can ruin your entire day so think ahead and have a few spares made and stored wisely to avoid being stuck. These easy trick will save you time and save the stress of having to worry about it!
Breaking big jobs into smaller chunks will reduce your stress in numerous ways! Most importantly this will make the job seem less overwhelming and more approachable; additionally you will be better prepared to actually complete the job in a timely manner. Failure to meet deadlines and fulfill duties is a major cause of stress so if you change your initial approach to a big job and can do it more efficiently you are one step ahead of the next one!
Stop drinking caffeine. Don’t stop cold-turkey, gradually wean yourself, or you will get headaches that could last several days. Drinking less caffeine will help you deal with stress. Caffeine gets you amped up and can cause you to be irritated or stressed by things that normally wouldn’t stress you.
A great tip that can help you feel less stressed is to try and visualize calm in your mind. An example of calm would be a feather slowly falling down or a lake that’s barely moving. Visualizing images such as this can help you keep your stress in check.
If you can’t get to the calming beach, imagine you are there. Studies have shown that visualizing calm situations is a great stress reducer in itself. Next time you begin to feel overwhelmed, take five minutes and imagine yourself in a soothing bath, on a sun drenched beach or in a beautiful forest. You may find the stress a little less overwhelming.
Avoid stress when possible! High blood pressure can be the direct result of too much stress in our lives. It is, of course, natural to experience a short-term spike in blood pressure under stressful situations. Think, for example, about a typical trip to the doctor’s office. Many people experience such as spike under such conditions. Long term elevation in blood pressure due to stress, however, is considerably more concerning!
A good tip that can keep your stress in check is to make sure you’re staying busy. If you have nothing but idle time on your hands, you’ll be surprised at how quickly you’ll become stressed out. Having something to look forward to can make you more relaxed.
Many of the people who are living with stress believe that it is perfectly normal. If you feel this way you should start comparing your stress levels to that of people around you. You should quickly see that your stress is much higher and is having detrimental effects on you.
Although it seems unimaginable, cutting the stress out of your life is a goal you can achieve. Figure out what is causing the stress in your life and then try your best to avoid these situations.
Try deep breathing exercises in order to reduce stress. Take one deep breath in and hold it for 3 seconds, then exhale as slowly as possible. Do this several times until you feel yourself starting to calm down. Breathing is one of the easiest ways we have to naturally calm ourselves.
Spend a romantic evening out with the person you love. This will put you in a situation you enjoy, which will relax you and alleviate your stress.
The pleasures of a long relaxing bath can go a long way in reducing stress and promoting feelings of well being. Some nice scented soaps or oils can make a bath luxurious. You can also listen to soft music or indulge in a book. A nice warm bath is a very good way to get your body and brain to rest and have your stress disappear.
Try giving whatever is bothering you a number on a scale from one to ten, where one is a minor bump and ten is the end of the world. You’ll probably find that most of your daily problems are no more than a five. In other words, they’re not worth getting upset about.
Crafts and art can be used as stress relievers. Sculpting, carving, drawing or anything that allows your creative juices to flow are great stress relievers.
A great way to reduce the stress in your life is to forgive others. Worrying about the mistakes of others can lead to irritability and anxiety.
A good tip that can help you keep your stress in check, is to remind yourself that other people have gone what you’ve gone through. Whatever difficult situation you’re in, there’s always someone who has gone through it and persevered. Telling yourself this, can be a great way to keep your stress down.
A good tip that can help you reduce stress is to always bring something to occupy your time in case you end up waiting. Waiting around can be very stressful especially when there’s nothing to do. Bringing a book or magazine along can keep you entertained when you have to wait.
