Do you marvel at how some people are always able to get their way? These are people who have extremely high manipulative tendencies. The reason they are hard to identify is that they employ rather innocent tactics. However, any innocent act when used with ill intent turns into a tool for manipulation.

Before you do or say anything you might regret, stop and count to 10. Take a moment away from the thing or person causing you stress and get yourself together. Take a few deep breaths, recite an affirmation, or stretch. Do whatever it takes to re-center yourself, and get rid of the stress.

To help cut down on your stresses, just say no! If you try to do everything that is asked of you, it will quickly cause stress in your life. Set limits and be clear, you cannot please everyone all the time, so stop trying or your stress will continue.

One of the most tranquil things that you can do is a crossword puzzle in the morning. Instead of watching television, challenge your mind the moment that you wake up. This will not only help you get your thoughts off your troubles but help you to feel accomplishment as well.

If you are driving on the road and have something on your mind, sing the words of a song at the top of your lungs. Since no one can hear you, this is a great time to let it all out to a song that you know. Singing is a great form of stress relief.

Take some time out of your life to sit down and read about stress. Many times when you understand exactly how something works it allows you to be able to handle it much better. When you understand the psychology of stress, you should be better equipped to avoid it when it comes around.

One way to deal with stress at work, is to have others assist you with your work via delegation. This is important because you have people there to help you and you should make the most out of your resources. Of course, this may not work for everyone but for those who have it as an option, it is extremely important to take advantage of.

A great way to lower your stress level or beat it all together, is to find an activity or hobby that you enjoy. Whether it be a reading club, gardening, or bike riding, find something that will give you a place to get away from it all, and just have fun.

Instead of just thinking about how you can lower stress, write your thoughts out. Develop two lists for yourself: one that covers stresses you may have the ability to control and one that lists stressors out of your hands. Let go of the stresses that you can’t control and concentrate on the list of stressors that you can change.

Go for a routine checkup to the eye doctor if you feel like your vision is causing you to feel strained during the day. Purchasing a pair of glasses or contacts can help a great deal in reducing the pressure and stress that you feel when at work or reading at school.

Stress is a sign that you have gone off track in your life in one way or another and you need to adjust your behavior and your actions to equalize your feelings. If your mind cannot decide what it should be working towards, it causes you to feel stressed out.

A good tip that can help you reduce your stress is to spend some time away from the internet now and then. It can get very tempting to get on the internet but it can also be very stressful because you’re always making yourself accessible to others. Take some time off to spend by yourself.

Getting a pet is a great way to reduce stress. Many studies have shown that pet owners live longer and live more stress free lives. Pet owners have lower blood pressure and lead happier lives. Even if you don’t have a pet, go to a friends house or neighbors and pet their animal for a few minutes, research has shown that even just a few minutes of petting an animal will reduce stress.
