Have you ever met someone who was so passive-aggressive, that you couldn’t call them out? They seemingly said nothing wrong, but the tone they used implied something else… Passive-aggressive people just have a sneaky way of using aggression, so they aren’t flat-out caught with ill intentions. Passive-aggressive behavior is characterized by indirect resistance to the demands of others, and avoidance of direct confrontation – often by pouting, procrastination, or misplacing important materials. So, why do people use this type of behavior?

Try A Couple Of These Great Techniques To Relieve Your Stress

With the chaos of our daily lives, it is very common for people to get stressed out. But unless you know what to do about that stress, it will not go away on its own. In the following article, you are going to be given advice that will hopefully help you to reduce your stress levels.

Stop clenching your jaw and consciously relax it. When you are under a heavy load of stress, your whole body feels it, but it’s especially felt in your jaw. When you are feeling overwhelmed, touch your jaw with your index finger, clench, breathe in, release the breath and release your jaw. This should relieve some of the stress and help you feel better.

Your daily life will be less stressful if you keep the things around you in good repair. The more items that are in disrepair, the more you’ll have to work around them. Stay on top of things!

Learn how to breath fully using your diaphragm. As practice, breath through your nose, and watch your belly increase in size. Hold the breath for a few seconds before releasing. These deep breaths fully oxygenate your blood, relaxing you quite quickly! In fact, it’s been found that the opposite, short breathes, can speed up your heart beat, tighten your muscles and increase your stress!

Ahhh…. Who doesn’t love a hot bath? Soaking in a bath is a great stress reliever. But, we don’t always have time for a hot bath. If you don’t have time for a bath, wash your face or even your hands with some hot water and imagine you are soaking your stresses away.

Sometimes, with a hectic work schedule, it is important to take a 20 minute nap here and there to recharge your internal batteries. This will make you feel great when you wake up and will eliminate the haggard feeling that you carry around. Find time to take short rest breaks to limit tension.

Although it may seem incredibly silly, the very act of counting to ten slowly can really help you to clear your head and allow you to move past the stress. If you think that there is no way that this could help you out, you should give it a try.



Drinking will not eliminate stress. Using alcohol responsibly in a social setting with friends is fine; however, downing ten beers a night to knock the edge off your day is lunacy. You need to rely on your own resources to relieve your stress, not become dependent on a drug like alcohol.

A good tip that can help you keep your stress down, is to plant your own garden. Not only is gardening a fun hobby to have, it will keep your stress levels down, as well. You’ll also be able to show off your garden to anyone you have over.

One great way to deal with stress is to be sure that you are not projecting your stress upon somebody else and taking them down with you. This is important because you need to deal with your own stress yourself and not assert blame on anybody if they are not responsible.

A great tip that can help you relieve a lot of stress is to stop being so hard on yourself. Don’t beat yourself up over every little mistake that you make. You have to be able to accept that we are all human and that we all make mistakes.

When you are dealing with a person who has high levels of stress you should know when to avoid them. While the problem is their’s and not your’s, there is also no reason to make things even more difficult. Tell the person that you will resume the conversation at a later point.

When facing high levels of tension, think about something that makes you happy, such as the beach. Picturing the sand and the waves rolling in is a very peaceful image and will help to remind you of the finer things in life. Create positive imagery to help eliminate unnecessary stress.

Patience is one of the most vital things to have when you are trying to limit the amount of stress that you face during the day. Try not to put so much pressure on yourself to get things done immediately. Tell yourself that in time, things will come, to reduce your internal strain.

A great way to deal with stress is to consider drinking more hot tea. Along with the relaxing nature of drinking a warm beverage, many teas contain healthy natural relaxing agents in them that can help to soothe you. Check out a variety of teas and see which suit you the best.

Video games can instantly take your attention away from stress. Playing games lets you focus on the act of playing, letting you clear your head of negative thoughts. Playing video games with a friend can also improve your overall mood.

If you’ve been feeling really stressed, finding a new hobby or refocusing on an old one can help you relax. Whether it’s gardening, knitting, hiking or painting, a hobby can help you step back from whatever is stressing you and get a new perspective on life. Take time out from each day to engage in your hobby.
