Write down what is bothering you. Writing it down and seeing it on paper, will help to provide some perspective on what it is that is causing you stress. Divide your paper in half and on one side, list the stressors you can change and on the other side, list those that you can not change. Try to let go of the things you can’t change and try to fix the ones that you can change.

One great tip for relieving stress is clearly know and define your priorities in life, as they will help you stay focused on what must be accomplished. When you lose sight of your goals and priorities, you will become unfocused, confused, and go off track, which will easily result in stress.

Know what is causing your stress. You need to know what in your life causes your stress. Stress could be something that you react to such as a person, object or an event. One you have narrowed down the exact stressors, it becomes much easier to eliminate or minimize stress in your life.

You should never drown your stress in alcohol. While enjoying a beer or glass of wine when out with friends is considered acceptable, turning to alcohol every night, especially in excess, is asking for serious trouble. Not only will it increase your stress in the long run, but you may end up becoming addicted to alcohol.



If you’re feeling stressed out, try going for a walk. Walking will increase the circulation in your body and get your blood flowing. It also gives you a chance to get some fresh air and to clear your head. A quick ten minute walk can help you feel much more relaxed.

To more effectively manage stress, learn to let go of things you have no control over. Try to discern which things you do have control over and separate them, mentally, from those you don’t have control over. By separating the issues, you will find it easier to worry less about things.

Video games are a great way for people to reduce their stress by playing out their aggression through an avatar. They are not just for children anymore and a good competitive game can be just what you need in order to remove your high levels of bad stress.

One of the easiest ways to reduce stress in your life is by shutting off the evening news. Today’s news broadcasts are typically filled with nothing but doom and gloom, making them anything but uplifting. In fact, they can leave you feeling downright stressed out and worried. Instead, try skimming the news headlines online to stay informed. Just don’t allow yourself to get bogged down in all the details.

In order to reduce stress in your life, avoid bottling up your feelings. Instead, say what is on your mind in a caring and respectful way so that people know how your are feeling. Keeping your feelings to yourself can often lead to resentment and anger, whereas open communication can help you find solutions to even the most complex problems and situations.

Creative writing is an excellent outlet for dealing with stress. Writing poetry or keeping a journal can provide a way to express your feelings so that you can deal with them instead of keeping them bottled up inside. By writing down your problems and analyzing them, you can help reduce your stress.

Stress is everywhere in our lives and we can’t get rid of it altogether.
