You’ll be able to focus on the world inside the book, rather than whatever is stressing you out.

Sometimes when we are feeling stressed, it is easy to dwell on our situation. But, if you will stop and ask yourself how bad the situation really is,based on a scale of one-to-ten, it will help you put it into perspective. You will see that what is bothering you right now really isn’t such a big deal.



Saying “no” more often will actually reduce the stress caused by giving in to things you really didn’t want to be obligated to and keep you from having to do them! When you are already pressed for time throughout your day, so saying “no” to offers people make that you are not actually interested in will give you more control and definitely less stress!

If you are under pressure, one of the things that you can do is lift weights. When you contract your muscles, you will reduce the tension on your body and feel good about yourself. Do this in the comfort of your own home or at the gym to reduce stress levels.

Sip on tea to help calm yourself. Chamomile tea is known for its calming effect, but there are also other teas that can calm you as well. Try a cup of passionflower, catnip, kava kava, or skullcap. Steep these herbs for about 10 minutes and you will get the full effects of their calming powers.

Ahhh…. Who doesn’t love a hot bath? Soaking in a bath is a great stress reliever. But, we don’t always have time for a hot bath. If you don’t have time for a bath, wash your face or even your hands with some hot water and imagine you are soaking your stresses away.

In order to deal with stress, it is important to make sure that you organize all of your goals on paper. This is important because you then can see where you are at and what you hope to attain, thus giving yourself a sense of power over your own purpose in life.

Take some time for yourself. Always set aside a little time each day to devote to yourself. Whether it’s a little time in the morning before anyone else is awake or in the evening when dinner is over – try to relax. Some people find that meditation helps them, some like relaxing in a warm bath, whereas others like to destress themselves by going for a walk or a run.

One way that you can attempt to manage your stress is to make a list of everything in your life that causes you anxiety or stress. This is important because after making this list, you will be able to tackle each item one by one and work to completely eliminate all the stress in your life.

When it comes to dealing with stress consider meditation. This can be a great way to not only relax your body but also clear your mind of everything that might be causing you stress. Consider buying audio tapes or books to assist you with different ways of meditation.

If you eat foods that have a lot of carbohydrates, your body will release serotonin. This is your body’s natural relaxing chemical. So if you’re feeling stressed, munch on some crackers, pretzels, a bagel, or other snacks that have a lot of carbohydrates in them. This will help your body naturally relax itself.

One great way to deal with stress is to learn to forgive people. This is important because often times holding grudges may prove to cause you more stress than if you just let it go. Decide for yourself if you are able to move on and try to do it as soon as possible.
