Exercise also helps to battle any high stress levels, as well as releases the good hormones, known as endorphins, that will help you to be happy.

A great tip that can help you fight stress is to make sure you’re not spending more money than you have. There’s nothing more stressful than being in debt and having to repay a lot of money. Being responsible with your money will help you keep your stress in check. Start today at keeping careful track of where your money is going – you could be surprised when you see how much of it is really just wasted.

Admit your stress. Each of us have our own stress signal, whether is it teeth gritting, neck pain, shoulder pain, shallow breathing, or loss of temper. Take time to figure out what yours is and then say out loud, “I am feeling stressed” once you start to feel that way. Playing a game is a great way to reduce your stress, as it is fun and will take your mind off of your troubles. Invite a few friends over and play a board game, and after the entertainment, serve dinner and dessert. This will serve as a nice form of relief to your hectic day.

Be silly! Acting a little silly or crazy can remove you from a stressful situation. Do something that makes you laugh and helps you to forget about your stress for a few minutes. Research shows that smiling and laughing, even if it is fake can help to take some stress away.

A great tip that can help to you keep your stress levels down is to take a hot bath. The hot water will make you feel relaxed and you’ll forget about all of your troubles. Taking a hot bath can help keep your stress in check and it’s something you can do everyday.

One great way to deal with stress is to learn to forgive people. This is important because often times holding grudges may prove to cause you more stress than if you just let it go. Decide for yourself if you are able to move on and try to do it as soon as possible.

Don’t worry about being totally stress free. While it is important to lower our stress levels to maintain a good health, it is also important to have low amounts of stress to push us to succeed. If we had no stress in our lives, then we wouldn’t accomplish much.

Make it a habit to rate whatever is stressing you on a scale from one to ten. One being a very small issue while ten being a major stress breakdown. Often, you will find the stresses you have at hand will fall in the lower end of the spectrum. This is a great way to put your stressful situations into perspective.

If you are fatigued, try to eliminate some of the stress that may be causing it. Fatigue can have a direct association with stress. When you are stressed it is difficult to sleep, even difficult to relax. It is as though your body is constantly fighting a battle with some unseen force. Try to limit the amount of chatter or gossip that you participate in during the course of the day. When you are talking about other people, at times you may stress and get worked up about their problems. This is extra stress that you do not need to deal with.

When you find your self in a high-stress situation, take deep breaths to calm yourself down. This helps by giving you a few more moments to assess the situation. Deep breathing also adds more oxygen to your blood stream, which immediately helps to calm your body.

To help bring your stress levels down try not to obsess over every little thing. If you’re a perfectionist you will not get anything done and you’ll end up being unhappy.
