Lashing out and being rude, will only make other people react in kind, which will make everyone more stressed out than they were. If you put in the effort to smile, people will smile back and you might find your stress melting away.

One very enjoyable way to feel more relaxed and reduce stress is by taking a leisurely bath. Some nice scented soaps or oils can make a bath luxurious. Play some calming music to soothe your soul or grab a book and let your mind wander away into a different world. You can melt your tension away and relax your muscles by giving your brain a breather while soaking in a warm tub.

To deal with very stressful situations, it can really help to give yourself some distance. See if you can get away for a day or two and go somewhere calm so that you can think about the problem objectively. Being stuck in the thick of a situation makes it difficult to see what a disconnected observer might find obvious.
