You might hear of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), but what about ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)? Inattentive ADHD or ADD can be associated with the student who stares at the window and unwittingly ignores the work in front of them. It is a term used to describe a neurological condition with symptoms of inattention, distractibility, and poor working memory. To help you learn more about the less-talked-about type, here are a few signs of inattentive ADHD.

Everyone experiences stressful situations. Your body reacts to mild stress by increasing adrenaline, which makes you feel more alert and able to tackle problems. However, prolonged stress is very hard on the human body, it can cause you to experience a range of symptoms that including high blood pressure, headaches and nausea. Learning how to cope with stress is essential to your health and well-being.

Watching a movie is a proven way to eliminate the stress in your life for a couple of hours. Sit down with friends, family or alone and watch a horror or action film that will stimulate your mind. This will help a lot in getting your thoughts off your troubles.

Being able to visualize calming imagery can help you deal with stress when it threatens to overwhelm you. Close your eyes and focus on relaxing your muscles by picturing yourself in a hot bath and feel the stress float away. As an alternative, close your eyes and picture yourself at a place that relaxes you most, such as the beach or in a field. Focus on the calmness of your surroundings.

A great way to fight stress is to spend some quality time with your family. If you’re feeling stressed out from the pressures of work, there’s really nothing better than spending some time with the family to recuperate. Focusing on good times with the ones your love will keep stress at bay.

When you are feeling down or stressed out, call your boyfriend or girlfriend and tell them how much you love them. This will put a smile on their face which will indirectly make you feel good about yourself. Call a loved one to maximize the way that you feel during the day.

Eat food that will make you feel positive about yourself and build your body. Eating lifeless and fatty fast food will stress you out. Don’t think that the food that you eat has nothing to do with the way you feel and why you are stressed. Even if you crave the sugar or fat, these kinds of foods only lead to making you feel worse.



A great tip that can help you fight stress is to be resilient. When things don’t go the way we want them to, we sometimes will consider ourselves to be a victim. This kind of thinking can make you stressed out. Instead, try to overcome difficult situations as best as you can.

Your mind can easily become cluttered, which is a fast track to stress, if you attempt to think about more than one thing at a time. Instead of focusing on many things that you need to do, focus on only one at a time so you will be able to accomplish it easier.

Avoid stress when possible! High blood pressure can be the direct result of too much stress in our lives. It is, of course, natural to experience a short-term spike in blood pressure under stressful situations. Think, for example, about a typical trip to the doctor’s office. Many people experience such as spike under such conditions. Long term elevation in blood pressure due to stress, however, is considerably more concerning!

One way to manage your stress is to take an amount of money that you can do without and spend it on something completely unnecessary that you might have always wanted. This will help to clear your mind and give you a sense of power and self accomplishment.

Sometimes, with a hectic work schedule, it is important to take a 20 minute nap here and there to recharge your internal batteries. This will make you feel great when you wake up and will eliminate the haggard feeling that you carry around. Find time to take short rest breaks to limit tension.

If you’re feeling stressed out, try going for a walk. Walking will increase the circulation in your body and get your blood flowing. It also gives you a chance to get some fresh air and to clear your head. A quick ten minute walk can help you feel much more relaxed.

There are times where just talking with someone you really trust can be enough to reduce your stress. Releasing anxieties and feelings helps you feel so much better. Locate a close relative or friend who you can chat with over a cup of coffee or on the phone.

When trying to get rid of stress, here is a very important and simple tip that many people seem to forget about. To easily combat stress, simply get a good night’s sleep. Sleep refreshes your mind and body and replenishes energy. Naps are also effective at doing this.

In order to reduce stress in your life, avoid bottling up your feelings. Instead, say what is on your mind in a caring and respectful way so that people know how your are feeling. Keeping your feelings to yourself can often lead to resentment and anger, whereas open communication can help you find solutions to even the most complex problems and situations.

A good tip that can help you keep your stress levels down is to simply surround yourself with positive, happy people. Being around negative people all the time will have an influence on you whether you know it or not. Try to be around positive people as much as you can.

If you are constantly going somewhere, you could be thinking or moving too quickly. Remember that it is essential to your well being that you take a break once in awhile. So learn to slow down and just breathe. Apply some of your relaxation techniques throughout the day to lessen you anxiety level, clear your mind and decrease you blood pressure.

Prolonged stress can effect every area of your life including your health and relationships. Dealing with stress in a healthy way enables you to feel empowered and in control. It will also help you improve close relationships and reduce the long term effects that it can have on your body.
